I receive emails from a listserv related to Christian happenings in the world. I wanted to use our blog to respond and/or comment on them.
As most of you know, Tim Tebow is a man with a mission. It is obvious that he loves Jesus (as he knows how) and that he is unafraid to 'let his light shine.' Of course, skeptics (and all of us in whom such remnants remain) will always call into question the sincerity of his statements and actions. Furthermore, it is possible that he will also second guess some of his actions in another season.
However, it seems that Pam, Tim's mom, was advised to carry through with her pregnancy of Tim. There will be a commercial, sponsored by Focus on the Family, that will air during the Super Bowl. It seems that there is also opposition against such an airing by the Nat'l Organization of Women, which it seems would support Pam's free choice to carry through with her pregnancy. Radicals cannot have their cake and eat it too, advocating freedom of choice, but then rising up against the very thing they support (another's freedom) when a choice doesn't fall in line with their view of freedom.
I've never been a Tebow fan, almost solely due to his Gator roots and sometimes borderline taunting exhuberance, but I have warmed over the past year. If you want to learn more you should check out the link below or the Sports Illustrated article that ran about six months ago. He seems like a really interesting person.... even if he is a Gator.
